Coming shortly will be a membership scheme for veterans and serving military personnel. By joining Surf Action through the 'Join the Club' page we shall be able to offer a loyalty card which in turn will enable members to access some great discount at many business. Those already signed up to the scheme are Seabase in Newquay who are offering 20% off any custom surfboards, intermediate surfboard (Chinese), or learner surfboard (Softboard / Seasoft brand), and any surfboard accessory. Sunset Surf at Gwithian Towans, and Down the Line at Hayle will be offering 10% and these deals are all amazing...

Surf Action Updates
Surf Action are looking for companies who would like to sponsor a veterans. This sponsorship will aid the training and development costs of the veterans we are working with. It is essential that our veterans move forward with their lives and finding work can be a huge step in rebuilding lives. Surf Action work very closely with Tim Cocks at Active Plus and 12 veterans and ex-service have gone through or are currently training with Tims project. Surf Action Updates
I missed the programme myself but this morning on BBC1 Surf Action appeared on Saints and Scroungers. Those of you who kindly donated after seeing this thank you so much. We also had offers of help and fund raising so thank you all.
This year is looking like it will be a huge year for us. Our Friday clinics continue to run and always will. We meet every Friday at 11.30am at Sunset Surf Cafe, Gwithian Towans, Nr Hayle. If anyone knows of any ex-service and they might be interested in meeting please come along, its very informal and you DON'T have to go surfing plus the guys there make a lovely...

Surf Action Updates
Last week was again humbling and inspiring for all of us at Surf Action.
The Not Forgotten Association has been taking injured servicemen and women on adventure trips and holidays for 91 years. This past week eight injured soldiers were brought to Cornwall by the charity to try their hand at surfing with local charity Surf Action.
Soldiers injured in a variety conflicts surfed for the first time. Among others, Royal Irish Rangers Pat Glennon and Simon Ugavule both suffered shrapnel wounds in the same blast in Afghanistan this year and had been invited to Cornwall by Events Director Rosie Thompson who is responsible for providing cheer and entertainment for injured soldiers and has been in this role for 14 years is an absolute legend and helps those who often need this type of activity to rebuild confidence and esteem.

Surf Action Updates
Please come along this Saturday and support our Surf Fayre. This is not only a fundraiser for our charity Surf Action but also a gathering of some amazing small businesses from Cornwall. It will be great to see as many people come along, listen to some music, watch some films, look at some beautiful boards and support Cornish businesses. Surf Action is going head-to-head with nine other National Lottery-funded projects in the semi-finals of the National Lottery Awards 2011.
We are one of only 10 projects to make it through in the Best Health Project category in the annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects.
